Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Project:
DMAIC Methodolgy in Practice
A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt project combines the principles and methodologies of both Lean and Six Sigma to achieve process improvement and optimization. It integrates the waste reduction and efficiency-focused techniques of Lean with the statistical analysis and defect reduction methodologies of Six Sigma.
Lean focuses on identifying and eliminating waste in processes, aiming to create value for the customer while minimizing non-value-added activities. It emphasizes the concept of continuous improvement and strives for streamlined processes, reduced cycle times, and improved productivity. While Six Sigma aims to reduce defects and improve process performance by using statistical analysis and identifying and addressing the root causes of variation and strives for process stability and consistency.
